Jan and I shared an apt and her entire being lit up when she met Mike. She fell so hard for him and loved him until the day she died, as did Mike love her. I used to take her boys Chris and Peter to McDonalds for breakfast sometimes, and I loved hanging out with them. Chris used to pronounce the "K" heavily on words like trucK and ducK, etc. and Jan used to love getting him to say those words. It was too cute. And we laughed at Peter too because he talked just like Jan, always saying "yeah, yeah, yeah"
Such a beautiful loving family who love each other and the LORD, faithful and so special.  I will always have those simple loving and funny memories. She was a good friend. I wish the best for Mike and the boys.  Barbara J Fisher, Jeffersonville, IN 5/24/23

Dear Michael, Chris, and Peter, 
I love you all so much. Your mother, was a another mother to me. She was all heart, and full of fiery sweetness. She, along with you, welcomed me into your family from as far back as I can remember. I don’t possess the words to adequately express the feelings of laughter, warmth, and memories when I think of Sis. Lucchesi. She was an absolute one of a kind and I’m so blessed to have known her. The news of her passing shook me to the core. My heart is broken to know that a woman so loved and influential on my life, has gone on. I am only comforted by the knowledge that she, and my father, are now together with King Jesus in paradise, watching over us all.

I was so very sorry  to hear of the sudden passing of my dear friend and sister.  Over the many years that I knew Jan, our lives would crisscross and each time we would reconnect, it was like no time had ever passed.  She spoke often of her family and how much she loved each one of you.  She was an incredibly beautiful soul whose personality was larger than life.  Her talents were many, encompassing music, art, and  also the ability to connect with people on every level, she knew no strangers. I have many memories of Jan and will cherish them all.  I will be forever grateful for our friendship and her leading me to our precious Savior, in whose presence she now dwells.  Someone once wrote that our lives are written by the finger of God in which the end is really only the beginning.  I will miss our phone calls... Until we meet again in the regions beyond, love ya always,, JanJan!! 

I met Janet 3 years ago and we became close friends.  We supported each other.  She was the best hugger and gave everyone an uplift to their day.  I remember so many good things about Janet and her sweet personality.  I will miss her but know that she is in heaven now!

I have so many memories,. One really fun one was when Kingwood was an island from Harvey. We were going stir crazy staying at home. We decided to go out on adventure and drove down as far as we could on 59 until we were forced to turn around because of flood waters. Her police officer son, Chris, happened to be working the road block. She was so excited and proud to see him and yelling out the window “hello” to him. His face lit up w/ surprise and happiness when he realized it was his Mom. It was a really fun day. She loved her entire family fiercely. I will miss you my friend. It won’t be the same without you next door. 

Jan and I moved to Jeffersonville as young 20-year-olds and became immediate friends. I loved Jan and counted her a dear friend. She had a zest for life, happy spirit and an amazing hearty laugh. Though we didn’t see each other often, our friendship was dear and assumed. Jan extended much kindness to me during difficult times in my life, including several surgeries, when she always came to my house with something special; a delicious meal, an amazing floral arrangement she had made by herself, and even a treasured handmade quilt. She was such a giving and kind friend.   Dan and I were so happy when Jan and Mike made the decision to move to Texas to be near family. She was so in love with her grandchildren, they brought her such incredible joy! And living near her children too, was such a blessing, as they were so kind to Jan. She was a very talented individual and loved by many. She will be dearly missed by us and many others. She has finished  her race.

I love you Jan. You have gone to be with the lord. Peace be with your family.

My condolences for Mike and the boys, but Im celebrating with sweet Jan. She was my little sister in the LORD, and Ive always loved her.

Dearest Jan, my heart is wounded, and my spirit is low.  I remember when you first came to Jeffersonville, and someone asked me to pick you up, and take you some places you needed to go.  I found you to be so filled with life, and excitement.  A pure joy.  As time passed, you found Mike, and then Peter, and Christoper.  I so enjoyed holding those new bundles!!  Everyone loved you, and you drew so many friends into your circle that we had to stand in line for you to complete the circuit, but you always came back.  My sky is dark with rain clouds, but yours is filled with sunshine.  I will miss you, grieve for all who know you, nevertheless, I know where you are, and I can feel your peace.  If you can find the time, please look for Curt., if he hasn't already found you!!! I know that he will be so pleased see you.  Till we meet again, (and we will), be our Cheerleader, pulling us whom you have left behind, ever onward and upward.  All my love, Darlene.
