Julia “Judy” Weaver was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully in the comfort of her home in Splendora TX with loved ones present beside her on July 6th, 2022.
Judy was born to Michael Fred Thomson and Doris A Gould in Laurel, Mississippi on July 12th, 1952. She later lived in several different places as her father’s job required many relocations. She graduated here in Houston at Smiley High School.
Judy liked to fish, drive the roads and shop, browsing thrift stores and early morning yard sales, gospel music and sweets, especially strawberry shortcake and ice cream. She always had a van full of kids in tow, safely if you did not pop your gum. Her passion was cooking, especially for holidays and church functions, and was always trying to feed everyone. Judy loved spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Michael Thompson and is survived by her husband Russell Weaver, daughters Sabrina Smith, Stephanie King, Rebecca Weaver, sister Deborah Lee Thompson Matocha along with grandchildren Brittney Cargle, Clayton Vanecek, Cheyenne Dunning and great-grandchild Ashur McGlothlin. Several nieces, a nephew, a great niece and two great nephews also survive her.
