

He was born in Artigas, Uruguay on July 1st 1952. Mario moved to New York in 1952 and married Nidia DaRosa on February 4, 2010 and spent 13 wonderful years together.
Mario had a long career and retired from his position in U.S Customs border patrol. Throughout his life he served in various other federal law enforcement roles. Mario was an army veteran who served in Vietnam in his youth.
Mario had a wealth of knowledge and interests but a few of his most cherished hobbies included being outdoors fishing and gardening, or grilling Uruguayan style barbeque. He also enjoyed saltwater aquariums and carpentry.
He was survived by his children; Mario DaRosa Jr, Valeria DaRosa, Mauro Miguel DaRosa, and step-daughter Luisa Cardenas. Grandchildren; Jillian Thrash, Jessica Thrash, Jason Thrash, Sebastian Calderon, and Diego Andres Calderon. Siblings; Carlos Montiel, Eduardo Montiel, Jimmy Montiel, Marita Fagundez, Gabriel Fagundez, and Augusto Fagundez.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
