Modena L. Neal

She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Neal, with whom she had made her home for the past 21 years. Her step-daughter, Martha Miller and husband David of Austin, Texas; and granddaughters, Sarah and Samantha, also of Austin; special cousins Earl Green and Marion Green of Lake Jackson, Texas and Robert McDougle of Katy, Texas, formerly of Houma, Louisiana. She also leaves behind many cherished friends of Mulberry Baptist Church and Little Caillou Baptist Church where she was an active member for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl Green Elkins and T. Wert Elkins, her husband William S. Neal, and brother-in-law Elbert Neal with whom she had her home. Funeral services were held on October 4, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Humble, Texas with Reverend Bob Reese presiding and again on October 5, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home in Gray Louisiana, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray, LA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church, Spring Forest, 22703 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring, Texas 77373.
