Santos was born to Romaldo Salazar and Niconora Garcia Salazar on November 1, 1941 in Rosebush, Michigan. He was the tenth of eleven siblings, having five brothers and five sisters. Santos was a resident of San Antonio, Texas being married for 18 years and having seven children of his own five boys and two beautiful girls in Houston, Texas.
He was a truck driver, barber and florist prior to becoming disabled. Santos did anything and everything to provide for his children and grandchildren.
He valued family and always said, “Take care of your sisters, call your brothers and don’t forget to pray!” He always wanted to make sure that we kept in touch. Santos was a man who needed so little but gave so much. If you needed a dollar and that’s all he had it was all yours. That’s the type of MAN he was, not just the type of father. His favorite sayings were," that's terrible” or "oooookayyyyy ", and if he was going somewhere, "I'm not in no rush, they're not going anywhere." Whenever the opportunity presented itself you would hear him say, “Hey gorgeous.”
He enjoyed playing the lotto, running, riding his bike and he loved to laugh.
Santos was always staying active because in his eyes he needed to be able to constantly move.
He's survived by his Sister Margaret Palacios and Brother Basilio Salazar; his children: Son, Michael Andrew Salazar; Daughter in law, Angela Mihoci Salazar, Son, John Andre Salazar, Son, Joseph Anthony Salazar, Son, Jovan Alexander Salazar; Daughter in law, Cassandra Marie Salazar, Son, Joel Abriam Salazar; Daughter in law, April Yvette Lozoya, Daughter, Jessica Alexandra Salazar, Daughter, Gloria S. Sanchez; Son in Law, Henry M. Sanchez;
Grandchildren: Nadia Lynn Salazar, Isabella Kathleen Salazar, Abriam Jesus Salazar, Fabian Esai Salazar, Dominic Augustine Salazar, Gabriel Daniel Sandoval, Mia Alana Salazar, Mya Alice Salazar, Gabriella Gianna Salazar, Mckenzie Josephine Salazar, Mireia Leilani Salazar, Sophia Magdalen Salazar, Crecencio Raymond Sanchez.
And of course his dog Monkey.
He would love to be remembered as a man that did what he could for his kids.
He loved us, the type of love that just made you smile when you saw him. If you went to visit and he wasn't there he'd make sure you knew where he was, just by leaving his notes he always stuck on the door.
We know you are with the Lord now Dad.
We love you!
