Wanda J. Gilstrap

Wanda passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015. She was born as Wanda Jean Stancil in Collin, Texas on October 27, 1935. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Cymbeline Clark Stancil and James Hoyt Stancil. and her brother, John Stancil. She is survived by her four children: Theresa Dawn Smith and spouse, Roy Smith, Michael F. Zepeda, and spouse Rosa Zepeda, Cathy Lynn Fincher and spouse James Fincher, and Eugenia Kim Hensley and spouse, David Hensley. She was also blessed by grandchildren Kristen, Jessica, Gwynne, Jamie, Travis, William, Daniel, Jennifer, Eva and Robert, as well as many great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and loved ones. Wanda lived and worked most of her life in Houston, Texas, and was known as “Fee” to those closest to her.

Fee will be remembered for her grateful heart, giving nature and sense of humor. She cared for and raised her four children with loving guidance, and later in life, cared for her elderly Mother. Fee loved celebrating holidays with her family and friends, attending church, and going to the movies. She appreciated art, music and had a loving heart for animals. Fee will be missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her. Until we see Fee again in Heaven, we know she is walking hand in hand with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
