

Almeta was born June 9, 1935, and was the cherished daughter of Henry and Christine (Mallard) Hall.
Almeta received her high school diploma from the Rosenwall School in the Macon County Georgia School District. Upon graduation, she married Robert Drumwright and had one son, Andre Drumwright. Almeta was a second mother to Kevin and the late Karen Drumwright.
Almeta worked and retired from the Philadelphia Navy Base and was an active member of the Teamster Local 115. After retiring and moving back home to Oglethorpe, Georgia, she went back to work for the Georgia Public School System. She was an active and faithful member of the Upper Room Church in Georgia until she moved to Florida with her sisters years later.
She enjoyed many things later in life like shopping, eating out, and spending time with her various family members and friends. She had many hobbies such as coloring, solving word search puzzles, watching vintage movies and tv shows, and she loved watch her favorite sport of basketball.
Almeta leaves behind her son, Andre (Robin) Drumwright, her sisters, Annie, Ethel, and Myrtice, and her brother, Herbert. She is also survived by two grand-daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by her sisters, Pearl and Louise, and her brother, Charles.
The family wishes to thank all who helped and showed great care, compassion and consideration throughout Almeta’s journey of life.
Funeral and Interment will be held at a later date in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
