Baron James Ashanti passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Apple Creek Nursing Home in Arkansas. He was 71 years of age. Baron was the son of the late Gladys and David Lancaster Foxhall in Harlem, New York.
Baron served in the US Marines for two years. He spent his years as a talented poet and author who traveled the world searching for inspiration for his books and giving lectures on his craft. He loved writing, poetry, jazz, art, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Baron was the beloved husband of Mary Beth. He is survived by his brother, Lamont Foxhall, two children, Nova (Tony) and Marcus (Katherine), three step-children: Karen (Al), Lauren (Mark), and Ray (Dawn), his six grandchildren: Jalen, Dan, Ethan, Blake, Anthony Jr., and Joshua.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pa 19006. His memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM.
