Carol entered this world on January 4, 1944, as the first child and only daughter of Kendall and Nelle Lynch. On October 8, 1946 her brother, David Kendall Lynch was born. The family lived with their grandparents on Cottman Avenue in Mayfair until they bought a house and moved to Levick Street. Carol is the second of five 1st cousins and, unfortunately, the first to leave us.
The family spent their summers in Ocean City, New Jersey at their grandmother's house. Fast forward to April 28, 1958 where Carol attended a dance at Saint Timothy's Church a couple blocks away. She met a boy named David Sauer, and that was their beginning.
Since David had graduated high school in 1960 and didn't have a job, his mother made him join the service. Two years later, David and Carol were married. Because David was stationed on a ship in California, the pair moved west. When David's ship was transferred to Norfolk, Virginia, Carol went back home with her parents and along came Gary in 1963. The family then went to Norfolk to live in an apartment together.
After David left the Navy in 1964, and a couple of jobs later, along came the arrival of TWINS (Deborah and Denise) in 1968! This kept the couple quite busy, as you may know, but they love all of their children.
While Carol loved being a mother, she also sought to work part time at the credit union at the IRS where David was working. She quickly became the manager. After David retired from the IRS and Aetna Health Care, and their children married and moved out, the couple enjoyed their time together.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carol's memorial visitation which will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. Followed by the memorial service at 12:30 PM. Inurnment at Forest Hills Cemetery at 1:30PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shamrock Girls, c/o First National Bank at 40 South State Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
