Charles F. Fluehr died on Monday August 24, 2015 at the Vitas Hospice at Nazareth in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles J and Margaret Scanlon Fluehr. He had lived in Bradenton, FL for the last 20 years and previously been a lifelong Philadelphia resident.
Mr. Fluehr was retired employee of the US Postal Service. Starting as mail carrier, he retired as the Superintendent of the Bulk Mail Center in Northeast Philadelphia.
Charles was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose in Florida.
Charles was the devoted brother of William J. (Susan) Fluehr of Philadelphia and the late Francis Fluehr. He was the loving uncle of Mary E. Fluehr.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 9 to 10 AM at St Bernard's Church, 7341 Cottage St, Philadelphia, PA 19136. Memorial Mass will follow at 10 AM. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
