Doris E. Rea

She was born on September 27, 1926 in Waterbury, CT, graduated from Terryville High School, Terryville, CT, and relocated to Hatboro, PA in her late teens. She married Robert J. Rea Sr. "Bob", in 1949, and lived there in Hatboro, other than a few years in both Phoenix, AZ and Mount Sterling, WI.

In 2017, Bob went to be with the Lord, followed by her eldest daughter, Sharon, in 2019. Shortly thereafter, Dodie moved to WI where she lived with her daughter, Judy, until her homecall, passing away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Vernon Memorial Hospital, Viroqua, WI, as a result of a recent stroke and pneumonia complications. Dodie came to know the Lord as her Savior when she was 18 years old, and gathered in the Hatboro Gospel Hall, Hatboro. PA.

She and Bob raised their children within a wonderful hub of families, all of whom were in the same close neighborhood and where she was a second mother to the neighborhood kids. Dodie was a happy and contented mother of four, always serving others, cooking, baking, cleaning and entertaining.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Elsdon and Mildred Conrad Elsdon, her four brothers, her husband. Bob, a daughter, Sharon, a granddaughter, Candice, and is survived by her son, Robert J. Rea Jr. (Roslyn), daughters Judith Aspenson and Laurie Mitchell (Douglas), twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Christ's Home Community Center, 800 York Rd., Warminster, PA. 18974.

Service Hours: Visitation at 9:00 AM. Funeral at 10:00 AM, and Burial at 11:30 AM at the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler PA 19002.
