Edward David Lawfer, of Warminster, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Warminster. He was 80 years old. Born and raised in Horsham, he lived in Warminster for over 50 years.
After Ed served his country in the Marine Corps., he met and married Nora Novak in 1965 and settled in Warminster. They raised their four daughters in the home that he still lived in until his passing. His daughters fondly remember waiting for him each day after work to drive them home in his pick-up truck.
Ed and his brother, Jim were partners of Cyan Electronics in Horsham for over twenty years until they sold the business in 1993. For the last twelve years, Ed has worked for the maintenance department at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale. He truly enjoyed his time there. He loved his co-workers, as well as the residents and was fortunate to have made many lasting friendships.
Ed will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor. He was always coming up with something crazy that would catch you off guard and make you laugh. He loved old cars and motorcycles. He was very talented at fixing anything.
Ed adored his children and grandchildren and will be remembered by many as a generous, caring, compassionate man that gave the best hugs.
Ed was pre-deceased by his wife Nora in 2011. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; Pamela and James Christensen, Stephanie and Kenneth Schenck, Valerie and Robert Archambeau and Elaine Goodspeed, his six grandchildren; Mathew, Victoria, Caitlin, Jimmy, Danny and Lila, and his brother, James Lawfer.
