Helen was born to Joseph and Helen Jamison on February 17, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA.
Helen married her husband, Bud in 1946 in Elkton, Maryland. The couple settled in Philadelphia, where they raised their three children: Daniel, George, and Brian.
Helen lived in Philadelphia for more than seventy years before relocating to Hamburg, PA with her husband to care for her youngest son, Brian. When Brian passed away, she and her husband moved to North Wales, PA to be closer to family. When her health prevented her from living on her own, she finally settled in Willow Grove, PA at Garden Springs Center.
Helen was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a telephone operator for many years before retiring to care for her son Brian.
Helen was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was exited to become a “Nanny” to her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Helen loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company.
Helen was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor, her sharp tongue, and her big heart. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Helen was the wife of the late Wilbur “Bud” Brower and devoted mother of the late Daniel Brower (Mary), the late George Brower, and the late Brian Brower. She was the cherished “Nanny” of grandchildren; Christine (Bob) Cain, Danny Brower, and Jaime (Sean) Darby; great-grandchildren; Elizabeth Cain, Mary Kate Cain, Eavan Darby, and Maeve Darby. Helen was also the dear sister of Janet (John) Thompson. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; three sons, Daniel, George, and Brian; and two brothers, George Jamison and Joe Jamison.
