Jacob Abraham Panackal

Mr. Jacob was born on September 27, 1935, in Kerala, India, to parents, PG and Annamma Abraham. He graduated from University College in Trivandrum, Kerala. Mr. Jacob immigrated to the United States in 1980, where he continued his education by earning his Computer degree. He worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. for many years and then with PNC Bank in Philadelphia until his retirement.

Mr. Jacob was a very spiritual person and an active member of the Marthoma church. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and his passion made him a true Philadelphia sports fan.

Mr. Jacob is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Neena J. Panackal, his son, Abu Abraham J. Panackal and his family (wife Manisha, son Joshua, and daughter Alisha), his son, Gigy George J. Panackal and his family (wife Anita, daughter Holly, and son Owen) and his daughter, Zeena Annie V. George (husband Vinu, son Nathan, and son Alex).

Family and friends are invited to attend a two-hour Visitation on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at Bethel Mar Thoma Church, 532 Levick Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. An additional Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 31st, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, from 9:00am - 11:00am, with a Service to follow.
