James Michael Monaghan

JAMES MONAGHAN, 85, of Philadelphia, PA died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. He was born May 22, 1928 in Philadelphia the son of John Joseph and Gertrude (nee Moran) Monaghan. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School and was active in the Alumni Association. He served in the U S Army and was a Member of the Forsyth, Oldham, Griffith American Legion Post 497 in Cheltenham, PA. He had worked as a printer until his retirement. He was the loving father to six children: Donna MacLeon of New Hampshire; Denise Page of Philadelphia, PA; Tony DiSanto and his wife Michelle of Brigantine, NJ; Ann Marie Ritgert of Gettysburg, PA; James Monaghan and his wife Linda of Greely, PA and David Monaghan and his wife Brenda of Hatboro, PA. He was the devoted grandfather to nine (9) Grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 9601 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM and interment to immediately follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
