

Jeanine Veillet (nee Da Costa), age 87, died peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2017. Born in Abrest, France; a daughter of the late Manuel & Margarita Da Costa. Jeanine was a Feasterville resident for
30 years, formerly of Philadelphia.
Jeanine was a retired hospice care worker for Holy Redeemer Hospice.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. In addition, Jeanine was an active member of the local French Club. It was Jeanine’s nature to blossom into song with her beautiful voice whether singing in French, Italian, or English. She has been known to bring an audience to tears, especially when singing her Italian rendition of “Mamma”. She spent her younger years singing and supporting our troops in Europe post WWII and professionally in some of the top rated venues throughout the NJ, PA, and NY areas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert V. Veillet, grandson, David J. Garr and step-son Raymond Veillet. She is survived by her children; John (Nancy Jo) Owens of Quakertown, Michelle Cunningham of Philadelphia, Pete (Gerri) Owens of Cape May, Timothy (Christine) Fitzpatrick of Yardley, Thomas Fitzpatrick of Feasterville, and stepson, Richard (Laura) Veillet of New Britain. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, 10:00-11:00AM, at Assumption BVM Church,
1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA, 19053. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM followed by a burial at Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The French Benevolent Society of Philadelphia, 1007 Tinker Hill Lane, Malvern, PA, 19355, in her honor.
