

While many strive to leave behind a single legacy, Dr. Kuruchi Srinivasan leaves several: Those who knew him describe him as a loving father, a devoted physician, an international humanitarian and a kind-hearted individual. Everywhere he went, he was the person with the biggest heart in the room.
Dr. Kuruchi Srinivasan was a prominent physician in the Northeast Philadelphia. He began his career in medicine at a very young age after graduating from Madras Medical College with a doctorate in medicine in 1975. Dr. Srinivasan then continued to practice Internal Medicine for more than 39 years. He was on active medical staff at Holy Redeemer and Nazareth Hospitals and was a member of many local organizations. He cared for his patients as his own family members.
Dr. Srinivasan took pride in knowing his patients and providing personal care. Well known for his diagnostic skills-he devoted unlimited amount of his personal time, every day and night, to ensure that the patients he treated received the best care possible. He had a zest for life and a great sense of humor.
Dr. Srinivasan was a beloved husband of Dr. Patturajah Anbumani. He and his wife Anbumani were married for 38 years. He was the devoted father of Dr. Sharmila Srinivasan of Dallas, TX and Dr. Ashmitha Srinivasan of Houston, TX. He was the loving grandfather of Arya and Milan.
Born in Chennai, India- he was the son of Kamalathammal and Ramaswami Srinivasan, a prominent lawyer. He emigrated to the United States in the 90s. Dr. Srinivasan practiced internal medicine in both New York and Pennsylvania.
He bravely fought his battle with cancer and passed away on May 28, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, June 1st from 12 Noon to 4 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. A remembrance of his life will be held from 1 to 2 PM.
