Marianne M. Sacidor Escobar

Marianne M. Escobar passed away on July 7, 2017, at her residence. She was 58 years of age. Born in Meadowbrook, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Irene Sacidor. Marianne was a Southampton resident for the past 30 years and had previously lived in Philadelphia.

Marianne was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Southampton. She had a strong and adherent devotion to her Catholic faith. She found great peace in prayer. Marianne was a member of Our Women of Grace and the RCIA at the Parish.

Marianne’s family was most important to her. She loved spending time with and caring for her five children and eight grandchildren. She was creative and talented and an avid reader.

Marianne was the beloved wife of Fredy Escobar for 39 years. She was the loving mother of Melicia Escobar (Eric Tars) of Philadelphia, Roman Escobar (Kellie) of Willow Grove, Marlio Escobar of Newtown, Mia Delina Escobar (Dan Solt) of New York, NY and Lena Maria Escobar of Southampton. She was the devoted grandmother of Braeden, Mona, Taeo, Eva, Opal, Marlio, Maggie and Ella. She is also survived by her sisters Loretta Riotto (Gerald), Joanne Cassidy (Christopher) and her brother Ricardo Sacidor.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from 10 to11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Marianne’s interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
