Ruth C Richards

Ruth C. Richards died on Monday, August 19, 2013, at her daughter residence in Peoria, AZ. She was 95 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late George James and Henrietta Braun Caldwell.

Mrs. Richards was a retired sales person. She had been an employee of W. T. Grant Five and Ten, Kelley’s Corner, and Marburn Stores, all in Philadelphia. Ruth was an avid reader; she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and baking.

Ruth was the beloved wife of John J. Richards before his death in 1993. She was the devoted mother of Fred Richards, William Richards both of Philadelphia, Ruth C. Richards of Peoria, AZ, and the late John Richards. She was the loving grandmother of Karen Zartner, William McKinney, and Michael Giffins. She was also survived by her niece Leona Wittmer, her cousin Harry Wittmer and 4great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 1 PM on Friday, August 30th at the Lamb Funeral Home (at Forest Hills), 101 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Friends may call from 12 noon until the time of her service. Her entombment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
