Anika "Nikki" Lynn Farris, 50 of Huntington, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Nikki was a 1993 graduate of Huntington North High School. She then graduated from Ivy Tech in 1995. Nikki spent her career working for Head Start. She held many different titles and positions during her nearly 20 year career. She was a member of Life Church, where she volunteered in the children's services. Her many hobbies included crafting, traveling to the beach, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Michigan Wolverines. Nikki was an animal lover, and was a great caretaker to her rescue cats "Safari and Cici." Nikki loved being an Aunt and spending time with her Nephews. She enjoyed attending their sporting events and activities, and most of all she loved being with her family.
Nikki was born on February 6, 1975 in Huntington a daughter of Ronald and Cynthia (Trout) Farris. Her father preceded her in death while her mother survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two brothers: Derek Farris of Huntington, and Jason (Jen) Farris of Huntington; three nephews: Jamison Heyde of Huntington, Connor Heyde of Huntington, and Cameron Farris of Huntington; and several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held on Sunday April 6, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.
A funeral service will be held on Monday April 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with one hour of calling prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
