Anna Jane Pequignot Pettit

.Anna Jane Pettit, 83 of Huntington passed away at 4:30 am on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pilcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved her kids; she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, game shows, soap opera’s and baking.

She was born on June 22, 1928 in Huntington County, a daughter of John and Myrtle (Amber) Pequignot.

She was united in marriage to Gilbert Pettit on November 3, 1944 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2004.

Survivors include a son: Rick Pettit of Fort Wayne; three daughters: Mary McDonald of Fort Wayne; Bonnie Jean Pettit of Huntington; Dixie Lee Pettit of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Art Pequignot and four sisters: Gertrude Richardson, Irene Hinen, Lucille Shipbaugh and Gladys Keefer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 following visitation at 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Rev. Russell Buzzard officiating.

Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
