Bruce Richard Street

Bruce Richard Street, 70 of Huntington passed away on September 9, 2022 at his residence. Bruce loved serving in the Navy aboard the USS Coontz. He loved fishing and going to his lake home. He loved painting and making crafts for his family, and he loved his furry companion, Popeye very much. Bruce loved spending his life with his sweetheart of 57 years, his children, grandchildren and his great granddaughter very much. Throughout his life, he served as a pastor of Latter Rain Fellowship, ministering to people on the street. He was also the director of Evergreen Juvenile, helping troubled teens find their way. Bruce was born on July 14, 1952 in Huntington to the late Richard and Catherine “Kitty” (Harris) Street. He married Karen Sue Young on April 3, 1971 in Huntington. Karen survives. Additional survivors include: a daughter: Shawn Street McIntyre; three sons: Scott (Jodi Cotton) Street, Nick (Byron Smith) Street, Ben Street; four grandchildren: Joshua (Steph) McIntyre, Jordan McIntyre, Kerstyn (Katie) Street, Cameron Street and a great granddaughter: Addilyn Street; two brothers: Brian (Lisa) Street, Bill (Joyce) Street; three sisters: Susan Hatala, Chris Schacht, Patricia Sandlin. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death: Tommy Street, Steven Street, Doug Street and Michael Street. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 4:00 pm following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Memorial donations can be made out to Mission 22 or Stop Soldier Suicide both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
