Carolyn S. Stephens, 79 of Huntington passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Envive of Huntington. Carolyn was a 1960 graduate of Lancaster High School. She worked as a cook at several Indianapolis area nursing homes and restaurants. She most recently worked at Wabash Technologies in Riverforks and then six years at United Technologies retiring in 2008. Carolyn was a member of College Park Church where she volunteered in the church office. She volunteered at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Carolyn enjoyed sitting on her porch.
Carolyn was born on November 3, 1942 in Huntington, the daughter of W. Harold and Mary (Miller) Shideler.
Survivors include a daughter: Donna Stephens of Huntington; a son: David (Carissa Geiger) Stephens of Louisville, KY; a brother: Carlos (Connie) Shideler of NC; a sister: Charlotte (Tom) Crago of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister: Linda Shideler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County at a later date.
