Chad E. Johnson

Chad E. Johnson, 46 of Roanoke, passed away at his home early Wednesday morning October 28, 2020. Chad was a 1992 graduate of Huntington North High school where he ran Track. He also loved to play softball and holds the Gimmer Field record for stolen bases in a season. Stealing 63 in 64 attempts. He also enjoyed watching sports. Chad was born on March 26, 1974 in Bluffton, IN. He was united in marriage to Elisabeth I. Hartzell on July 4, 2009. His wife survives. Additional survivors include two sons: Dylan T. Wynkoop and Jordan T. Johnson both of Huntington; three daughters: Hannah M. (Ian) Freds of Huntington, Chloe E. Johnson of South Whitley and Taylor R. Scher of Huntington; two brothers: Barry (Kerri) Johnson of Huntington and Randy (Latahna) Fulton of Arizona; two granddaughters and his mother Sue Ann (Daniel) Morales-Cortez of Illinois. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Services will also be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, immediately following the visitation. Interment will be at a later date at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.
