Donna Darlene Griffith

Donna D. Griffith, 89 of Huntington passed away at 7:35 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Fort Wayne. Donna was a graduate of Columbia City High School. She had worked as the office manager at Dekalb Agricultural Association. After marrying and moving to Huntington she was an executive assistant to the Vice President and Director of Sales for Cloverleaf Creamery later known as Sealtest Ice Cream. After raising her children she worked for Violet Lewis Herbs where she worked for over 20 years. Donna was an avid animal lover and adopted any stray animal that arrived on her doorstep. She enjoyed her time spent with her children and grandchildren. Donna was born on October 13, 1929 in Columbia City, the daughter of Jesse and Myrtle (Ausman) Gibson. She was united in marriage to Robert H. Griffith on October 20, 1951 in Columbia City. Robert preceded her in death on February 29, 2012. Survivors include a daughter: Lisa (Pete) Griffith Sorg of Fort Wayne; two sons: Dr. Robert (Susan) Griffith of Kalamazoo; Kris Griffith of Chicago; three grandchildren: Erica Langsen, Beau Sorg, Austin Griffith, and two great grandchildren: Lucy Langsen and Leo Langsen. She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Griffith. Private graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
