Edna E. DeHaven Newcome, 97 of Huntington passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at her residence. Edna was a 1940 graduate of Monument City High School. She was a Stanley Products dealer for 35 years and was a member of the South Side Business Association. Edna enjoyed watching basketball and baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. Edna was born on September 13, 1922, in Kosciusko County, IN, the daughter of Jesse and Clara (Vickery) Tyner. She was united in marriage to Charles Dehaven on December 21, 1941 in Mt. Etna, Indiana. Charles preceded her in death on January 28, 1992 after 51 years of marriage. She later married Jack Newcome and he preceded her in death. Survivors include: Seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a companion: Donald Killen. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 4:00 pm, following visitation with Pastor Jason Parsons officiating at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made out to Cancer Services of Huntington County in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
