Janet K. Kirkpatrick, 86 of Andrews, left us to go horse riding on Sunday evening February 2, 2025. She left peacefully with a kiss on the forehead from her husband and best friend Bill. They started dating in 1954 and had been together ever since, having been married for the last 68 years. She leaves behind her family and host of horse-riding friends scattered across the country. To describe her is simple, she loved anything to do with horses! She had done it all from barrel racing, cross country, stadium jumping, competitive trail riding, pretty much anything horse related. One of her favorite awards over the years is called a Century Award. She won it doing competitive trail riding. It requires the horse and rider to complete a 25-mile timed endurance race through the woods and have a combined age of 100 years, she was 80 at the time. There are many words that could be used to describe her… Loving, Amazing, Dynamic, Intimidating, Incredible, Unstoppable… I called her mom…
