Janice S. Sheets Loe

Janice S. Loe, 73 of Roanoke and Jackson Township, Huntington County passed away at 7:48 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington. She was a 1956 graduate of Roanoke High School. Mrs. Loe was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, especially tending her flowers. Janice also enjoyed caring for her teacup poodles.

She was born on November 23, 1937 in Huntington County, a daughter of Alton M. and Alice R. (Younce) Sheets.

She was united in marriage to Franklin D. Loe on October 31, 1983 in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1999.

Survivors include three sons: Alan M. Rickard of Broomfield, CO.; Mark R. (Bonnie) Rickard of Huntington; Wayne S. Rickard of Huntington; a stepson: Frank T. (Mindy) Loe of Columbia City; a great-aunt, Louise Emley of Huntington; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister Sharon L. Brown.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana 46750.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Marvin Grooms officiating.

Interment will be at the Pleasant Chapel Cemetery in Huntington County.
