John W. Lockwood

John Wesley Lockwood, 84, of Huntington went to be with the Lord at 5:45 am on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his residence. John farmed with his father and brother, Alvin, for 20 years. He worked at Armour Pharmaceutical Company in Bourbonnais, Illinois for 20 years. He was a member of College Park United Brethren Church. He served in the U.S. Army for two years in the Korean War in Japan.

John was born on October 30, 1929 in Caro, Michigan, a son of Wesley and Lotela (Hudson) Lockwood.

He was united in marriage to Charlotte Knoblet who preceded him in death, they had two children: John W. (Cathy) Lockwood of Louisville, KY and Mark Lockwood who is deceased. He later married Eileen Greenleaf who preceded him in death. He married Grace Ann Price on March 20, 1999. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include: two brothers: Alvin Lockwood of Caro, MI; Paul Lockwood of Cass City, MI; six grandchildren and eight great grand-children.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 10:00am – 12:00 noon at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating.

Interment will take place at Almer Cemetery in Caro, Michigan.
