John Benjamin Smith

John B. “Johnny Famous” Smith 61 of Huntington passed away at 8:05 pm on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence. John was very musical and loved to play his guitar and sing. He enjoyed restoring old bicycles and working on small motors. He had worked at Onward Manufacturing for several years. John enjoyed hanging out with his grandchildren and he was a huge Detroit Lions fan. John was born on December 13, 1956 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of John L. and Joan M. (Grubbe) Smith. He was united in marriage to Edna Prasch on February 25, 1978 in South Lyon, Michigan. His wife survives. Additional survivors include a son: John R. “Buddy” (April Howell) Smith of Huntington; two daughters: Rachel (Dan) Bobilya of Fort Wayne; Saundra (Anson White) Smith of Huntington; Mother and Father –In- Law: Russ and Betty Prasch of Huntington, five grandchildren and his beloved dog: Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents John L. Smith, Joan M. Hillis and a sister: Toni Smith. A private service for family and friends will take place at a later date.
