Joseph P. "Joe" Grey, 63 of Huntington passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Joe worked for the VA for 29 years and retired as Chief Information Officer for the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System. He enjoyed 3D printing, shooting and target practice. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. Joe volunteered his time at the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Joe was born on July 14, 1962 in Glen Falls, NY, the son of Paul and Ann (Brodell) Grey.
He was united in marriage to Lillie Cheeke in 1993. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son: Charles (Jasmine) Grey of Columbia, Maryland; his mother: Ann Oliver; two sisters: Theresa (Danny) Downton of Shirley, IN, Paula Wallace of Post Falls, Idaho; his dogs: Odin and Blue; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Hank Oliver.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm with funeral service to be held following visitation at 5:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
