Larry L. Lahr, 82, of Huntington and formerly of Roanoke, passed away Friday morning, April 30, 2021 at the Heritage of Huntington. Larry had worked at Tokheim in Fort Wayne for many years. He was a 1957 graduate of Huntington Township High School and served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from 1958 – 1961. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 160 of Roanoke. Larry enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. He also enjoyed playing cards in his retirement.
He was born on September 3, 1938 in Huntington a son of the late Charles H. and Lillian Lahr. He was united in marriage to Karen Allison, she preceded him in death in 1997.
Survivors include – two sisters: Kay Flick of Muncie, IN and Linda Shaw of Florida; three brothers: Ron (Grace) Lahr of Fort Wayne, Don (Karmen) Lahr and Glen (Julie) Lahr both of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Lahr and a sister: Marilyn Starbuck.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, following the visitation.
Private family interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made out to Parkview Hospice in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
