Margaret Mary Street

Margaret M. (Harron) Street 77 of Benbrook, Texas and formerly of Huntington passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. She was the proprietor of the family business, Crafts Unlimited. She loved children and her and her husband Joe were foster parents for many years. She moved to Texas in 2004 to be near her children.

Margaret was born on December 21, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Michael James and Marjorie Mae (Brown) Harron.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Street on April 27, 1956 and they raised their family in Huntington.

Survivors include four daughters: Joanne Street Hankins and husband Gary of Benbrook, TX; Sarah Street of Azle, TX; Beverly Buzzard and husband Rick of Lakeland, FL; Kim Street of Huntington and a son: Joseph Street and fiancé Jo Caskey of Venus, TX; a sister: Sally Harron Lees of Cape May, NJ; two granddaughters: Samantha Street and fiancé Phillip Butler; Margaret Street and husband Tayseer Jabar; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers: Michael James Harron II, John Patrick Harron and William Harron.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

A service of committal will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Father Dale Bauman officiating.

Interment will take place at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
