

Maybelle Wilson, 95 of Huntington, passed away at 8:47 pm on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Heritage of Huntington, where she resided the last several years. Maybelle was a 1935 graduate of Clear Creek High school and had attended Ball State University. She had worked at Johnson’s Flower Shop and had her own Beauty Shop in Roanoke for many years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star in Huntington. She was an accomplished Pianist in her younger years. She also liked Bingo and liked to play Bridge at the Senior Center.
Maybelle was born on May 1, 1918 in Huntington County, a daughter of Earl and Lizzie (Schrock) Harshbarger.
She was united in marriage to Keith N. Wilson on June 22, 1942 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1996.
Survivors include a son: Jack M. Wilson of Huntington; a daughter-in-law: Kathie L. Wilson of Bippus; a granddaughter: Katrina (Matt) Bechtold of North Manchester; a grandson: Gunnar Wilson of Bippus and a great granddaughter: Emma Bechtold.
She was preceded in death by a son Gregory Wilson and a sister Deloris Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Rev. Bob Land officiating.
Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
