Melanie M. Buckner

Melanie M. Buckner, 55 of Huntington passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Melanie was a housewife. She had attended the Central Christian Church in Huntington. She was an avid Bowler and loved to play all kinds of games, including cards and board games. She was born on October 31, 1964 a daughter of the late Willis and Nancy (McBride) Reed. Melanie was united in marriage to Richard “Rick” Buckner on January 14, 2012. Her husband survives. Additional survivors include a brother: Rory (Lori) Reed of Huntington; a stepsister: Cindy Fleming of Palatka, FL. and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits. Memorial donations can be made out to the ASPCA and sent in care to Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
