

Myra Johnson, 82 of Huntington passed away at 9:27 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at The Heritage of Huntington. Myra was a homemaker. She loved flowers and gardening. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed the outdoors swinging on her porch swing and always laughing; she enjoyed having her picture taken.
She was born on June 7, 1930 in Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of Hi and Virgie (Hall) Robinson.
She was united in marriage to Richard Johnson on June 1, 1946 in Floyd County, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1969.
Survivors include a son: Bill G. (Amy) Johnson of Fort Wayne; four daughters: Linda L. Nunemaker of Huntington; Glenda S. Hall of Huntington; Brenda (Roger) Emley of Huntington; Lois E. (Kem) Pressler of Huntington; a brother: Walter Robinson of South Gate, MI; ten grandchildren: Tammy Larkey, John Hall, William Nunemaker, Jr., Chad Nunemaker, Eric Emley, Brad Emley, Amy VanNess, Cory Pressler, Jennifer Johnson and Bryce Johnson, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her special companion: Sidney “Roscoe” Bailey in June of 2011.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
