Patricia Anne Pressler, 89, of La Pine, Oregon passed away at 9:17 p.m., Monday May, 12, 2025 at Prestige Assisted Living in Bend, Oregon.
Pat was born in Whitley County, Indiana on October 30, 1935 to Charles Allen and Crystal (Deutsch) Shively. She grew up at Blue Lake and Churubusco, Indiana. She graduated from Churubusco High School in 1953. Pat was united in marriage to Ralph A (Stan) Pressler on February 27, 1954. Pat and Stan’s families were neighbors in Churubusco. Their love for each other grew as they worked together at the local drug store in Churubusco, Stan working as the pharmacist and Pat as the fountain girl. They made their family home for themselves and both daughters in Huntington, Indiana.
Pat was raised as a Christian being baptized in the Evangelical Brethren Church. She and Stan were active members in the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Huntington, Indiana. In later years she was confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Huntington and was most recently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bend,Oregon.
Pat was a homemaker and an activity leader at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington. She made our home a happy place. She shared joy, loved to joke around and have fun with her friends, family, and just about anyone she met. She enjoyed playing games, cards, cribbage, lots of volleyball, sitting on her front porch talking to neighbors. She and Stan loved to travel to Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and the Pacific Northwest. The family loved to be together at the lake, fishing and sharing stories around the campfire. She loved singing songs and flying kites with her granddaughters and playing games with her great grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters Teresa (Andrew) Northrop and Lori Pressler, granddaughter Liza (Paul) with great grandchildren Jadon and Zoe and granddaughter Anna (Jeremy) with great grandchildren Jeremiah, Sophia and Gabriella, Brother Michael (Arlene) also survives her, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents C. Allen and Crystal, husband Stan, sisters Marsy (Harold), Sally (Jake), sister-in-law Ginnie (Fritz).
A family service is to be held on May 16, 2025 at Baird Chapel in La Pine, Oregon. A graveside service and committal is planned for Thursday, May 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
