

Phyllis L. Reber, 91 formerly of Roanoke passed away Monday morning February 16, 2014 at Heritage Pointe Nursing Home in Warren. She was a 1941 graduate of Rock Creek High School. Phyllis had worked at General Electric for 5 years. She was a waitress for 42 years; she started at the LaFontaine Hotel in Huntington for 5 years and several restaurants in the Fort Wayne area and 12 years at The Village Inn in Roanoke, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Union Church.
Phyllis was born on April 18, 1923 in Huntington County at Brown’s Corners, a daughter of William E. and Blanche I. (Harvey) Reber.
Survivors include a cousin: Jim Reber of Huntington; two great nephews: Phillip Shivley of Markle; Cameron Shivley of Alexandria and a great niece: Melinda Shivley of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Janice Davis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Mark Hoffer officiating.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
