Sandra K. “Candy” Prichard, 71 of Huntington passed away at 11:29 am on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Huntington County. Sandi was a 1965 graduate of Van Wert High School. She had worked at B.A.E formerly General Electric for 37 years, retiring in 2002. Sandi was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the American Legion Post 85 and she held multiple offices and constantly volunteered. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed reading, listening to music and dancing. Sandi enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and was a very proud grandmother.
Sandi was born on May 28, 1947 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Hugh and Mildred (Walters) Prichard.
Survivors include two daughters: Stacy (Shawn Shearer) Busse of New Haven; Stephanie (Jeff) Miller of Huntington; two brothers: Richard “Dick” (Joan) Prichard of Van Wert, OH; Calvin Prichard of Van Wert, OH; a sister: Patricia (Gordon) Strickler of Escondido, CA; four grandchildren: Alexander Busse of Leo; Morgan Busse of Leo; Andrew Miller of Huntington; Izabella Miller of Huntington and a son-in-law: Chris Busse of Leo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Mary Lou Taylor and Donna Campbell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
