Sharon Marie Florey

Sharon M. Florey, 84 formerly of Huntington passed away at 5:45 am on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Peabody Retirement Community Health Center in North Manchester. Sharon was a 1948 graduate of Silver Lake High School. She was the clinic coordinator for Specialty Physicians Clinic at Huntington Hospital for 27 years. She was a past president of the Andrews Women’s Lions Club and was a member of the St. Paul’s Church of Christ in Andrews.

Sharon was born on October 29, 1930 in Silver Lake, Indiana, a daughter of Harry R. and Madge (Zimmerman) Bouse.

She was united in marriage to Larry W. Florey on January 31, 1953 in Silver Lake, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1995.

Survivors include a son: Michael (Angela) Florey of North Manchester; six daughters: Kathy (Darrell) Hileman of Lake Placid, FL; Mary (Michael) Loe of Mechanicsburg, PA; Annette (Arvin) Copeland of Carmel; Beth (Mark) Hoffer of Huntington; Shelly Bragg of Hahira, GA; Christi (Kevin) Wright of Huntington; 36-grandchildren and 29-great grandchildren and 3-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bernard Bouse, Jack Bouse and a sister: Marguerite Haney.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Union Church, 3688 E. 400 N., Huntington with Pastor Mark Hoffer officiating.

Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
