Sharon R. Green Woods

Sharon R. Woods, 48 of Huntington passed away at 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her residence. Sharon was a 1982 graduate of Eastbrook High School; she attended Huntington College and received her master’s degree from Ball State University. She worked at Huntington University for 25 years as the financial aid director. She was a member of the Union Church, where she sang on the worship team, was a youth leader and camp counselor.

Sharon was born on November 21, 1963 in Huntington County, a daughter of Jack G. and Betty E. (Harris) Green.

She was united in marriage to Kipp Woods on June 6, 1987 in the Union Church. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters: Courtney Woods; Breanna Woods both of Huntington; a son: Adam Woods of Huntington; a sister: Sandy (John) Einhaus of Osgood, IN; a brother: Scott (Bridget) Green of Van Buren; her parents: Jack and Betty Green of Van Buren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Union Church, 3688 E. 400 N. Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Union Church with Pastor Matt Gapinski officiating.
