William B. “Bill” Johnson, 81 of Huntington passed away on August 5, 2021 at his residence. Bill was a 1961 graduate of Lancaster High School. He had worked at Huntington Electric, Magnetek for 17 years and Gemco for 5 years. Bill liked the Cubs, doing jigsaw puzzles, collecting stamps and coins. Bill was well known for being seen walking around Huntington with his backpack and sock cap.
Bill was born on April 9, 1940 in Michigan, the son of the late Anton and Wanda (Price) Johnson.
Survivors include a brother: Jeffrey J. Johnson of Sparta, TN; four sisters: Kathy E. (Ron) Mulles of Casa Grande, AZ, Kris J. Carney of Pierceton, IN, Judy J. (Larry) Randolph of Sparta, TN and Jackie J. (Ken) Owen of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Andrew “Andy” Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Graveside service to follow the visitation at Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.
Memorial donations can be made out to New Life Meal Ministry in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
