

Wilma J. Crippen, 83 of Wolcottville and formerly of Bippus passed away at 10:55 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Wilma worked as a cook at Northwest Elementary School and for the Millers. She later worked at Hunkler’s. She was a member of the Calvary Women’s U.A.W., she enjoyed painting, cooking and gardening and was an avid collector of antiques.
Wilma was born on January 16, 1930 in Columbus, Indiana, a daughter of Arvil and Katherine (Painter) McKim.
She was united in marriage to Dean Crippen. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son: Don Hadley of Kendallville; a son-in-law: Steve Rittenhouse of Andrews; three sisters: Doris Wolter, Shirley Thayer, Juanita Harden; five grandchildren: Craig (Craig) Rittenhouse, Sherry (Paul) Voigt, Jennifer (Andy) Arivett, Travis (Holly) Rittenhouse, Stephani (Norm) Stanley, twelve great grandchildren: Jenessa, Jordan, Kiersten, Alexandra, Breanna, Morgan, Shane, Logan, Vaida, Savanah, Joey, and Landon; and her beloved dog: Witkin.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dean Crippen; a daughter: Debra Rittenhouse; a son: Charles Hadley and a sister: Jerry Burton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating.
Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Bippus.
