Carl Gilbert Taylor

Carl G. Taylor, 87, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Carl was born June 11, 1927 in Columbus, OH; the son of the late Raymond and Virginia Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Betty Ann Taylor. He was retired from the Huntington Fire Department as fire alarm superintendent with 36 years of service. He loved squirrel and rabbit hunting, fishing and especially loved eating out at Bob Evans and Texas Roadhouse. He is survived by one son, Allen Taylor and wife, Merrily of Milton; two daughters, Linda Dowdy and husband, Doug of Chesapeake, Oh; and Barbara Ball and husband, Gary of Huntington. Two grandchildren, Janel Williamson and Brian Ball. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary with visitation from 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
