Charles Robert Osburn Sr.

Charles Robert “Bob” Osburn Sr., 85, of Hurricane, WV, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston. Bob was born November 11, 1931, in Huntington. A son of the late Jack and Pearl Thompson Osburn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Charles Robert “Bob” Osburn Jr. and a brother, Jack Osburn. He was a proud member of the Pioneer Ham Radio Association; C &P Telephone Pioneers; A retired telephone company manager and appreciated beautiful women. He also danced on the Saturday Night Jamboree and was very musically inclined; sang with the Vinson Memorial Church choir. Bob is survived by two daughters, Kathy Jenkins Wise of Okeechobee, FL, Donna Osburn of South Charleston, WV and a son, Stephen and his wife Brandi Osburn of Culloden, WV. A daughter-in-law, Debbie Osburn of Huntington. Seven grandchildren, Rebecca and Savanna Osburn, Jessica and Daniel Jenkins, Nic and Gabrielle Osburn , and Baeley Blake. Four great-grandchildren; Daniel Gethen and Colton Levi Jenkins, as well as Kassidy Wallace and Darren LaHoda. A Celebration of Life will be held privately Saturday, January 28, 2017. Klingel- Carpenter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. It is suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Charleston, WV.
