

Alan Isenstadt died Tuesday unexpectedly at the age of 66 on Cape Cod. Born in Brockton and raised in Hyde Park, MA, Alan attended Boston Latin, Tilton Academy & Boston University where he played hockey, a passion he maintained until his death. An avid sportsman and great competitor, Alan delighted in tennis, running, skating and all things sports related. It was boating, fishing and his love for the ocean that always kept him within reach of the sea. An innkeeper most of his life, Alan made his mark on Cape Cod with The Trade Winds Inn which he owned and operated for 35 years.
Alan was most passionate about his family and is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne Jackson Isenstadt, his daughter Kara Driscoll & husband Tim of Winchester and his son Tate & wife Demi Isenstadt of Hingham & Hyannis Port, his adoring grandchildren Tatum & Kenzie Driscoll & Quinn & Henry Isenstadt, his sister Janis & husband David Wood of Colorado, his nephews David Wood & wife Tracy of California, Andrew Wood & wife Renata of California, his great nephews, cousins and lifelong cherished friends. Also survived by his dear mother –in- law, Alma Jackson and his brother- in- law Bob Jackson & wife Brenda and their children, Rob & wife Nicci, Brinton & fiancée Mary & Meredith Jackson, all of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Irving & Priscilla Isenstadt.
A lifetime resident of the Cape, he also maintained a residence in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

A memorial service for Alan will be held Monday July 25, 2011 at 1pm at The Tabernacle in Craigville Village, 251 Lake Elizabeth Drive, Craigville, MA 02632
