

A hard worker all her life, she continued to work up until the age of 80. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and crochet, her quick wit and humor, and was the matriarch of a family too numerous to count. She was also a longtime member of the VFW Auxiliary in Onset, MA.
Beatrice was predeceased in life by her husband, Daniel Monteiro; her parents, Manuel and Louise Roderick, five brothers: Peter, Frank, August and Thomas Roderick; four sisters: Johanna Andrews, Marion Roderick, Avatina Roderick and Mary Moore.
She leaves behind a brother, Manual Roderick of Marstons Mills; and three sisters, Louise DePina of CA, Barbara Pina of Cotuit and Mable Galvin of Hyannis. She is also survived by her four children: Rosemarie Ennes of Hyannis, John Leite of Centerville, Bruce Leite of Arizona and Roma Hawn of Texas; and four stepchildren: Daniel (Buddy) Monteiro and David DeBarros, both of Wareham, Kathy Andrews of Pocasset and Roberta Fernandes of Canada; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames, West Main Street, Hyannis, MA, on Monday, June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private, for family only, at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the VNA Hospice and Palliative Care. Checks should be made out to and mailed to the following address: CCHC Foundation, P.O.
