Betty Lou Bernier

Betty (Ross) Bernier, 84, long time resident of Hudson, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2017 with her family by her side at her Cape Cod home. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Bernier. Betty had many bird houses, feeders and baths set up in her backyard to watch the beautiful birds flutter and migrate from one end of the yard to the other. Betty was also an outstanding cook. She was a rival to none when it came to her American Chop Suey and was an avid pie crafter too, lemon merengue and apple being two family favorites. Betty always supported her children when they were in the Girl Scouts and Brownies and was a year over year winner for the Best Decorated Christmas Door Competition. Before her husbands passing, Betty was a faithful companion and organizer of Joes dialysis routines and always kept the sweets at bay. Betty is survived by her daughter, Deborah Keith of Marstons Mills, her son David Bernier of Valparaiso, FL; five grandchildren, Brittany Keith Lopes and her husband Elio Lopes, Brandon Keith of Marstons Mills, MA, Erin Bernier of Colorado Springs, CO, Caitlyn Janetzko of Apopka, FL, and Joseph Burnier of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Junior Lopes, and Neiden Lopes of Marston Mills. A graveside service in Bettys honor was held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
