Billy was born at the Hyannis hospital on November 5th, 1988. He will be missed everyday by his loving father Ivan and loving mother Gleice. Billy also leaves his older brother Thomas, sister-in-law Lorissa and his nieces, Sofia and Selena.
Billy was engaged to be married to Yessenia Pagoaga.
Friendship was one of the most important things Billy valued in life. Anyone who knows him as a friend, knows his deep loyalty, commitment and intentionality. He loved deeply and passionately. He was most generous and never said no to help in any way he could.
He grew up loving soccer (futebol) and cheered for and became a ferocious fan of his father’s soccer team Atletico Mineiro.
Most of his cherished memories with his dad and brother were cheering, watching, and celebrating together the victories. This connection also came from his affection towards his Parent’s country Brazil and his family members there.
On December 14th, 2013, Billy committed his life to Jesus Christ. From that point forward, Billy committed to serving Christ and showing others to Him. Billy had passion for people and he organized a Christ-focused soccer fellowship as well as establishing a SOZO Night on a monthly basis. SOZO is the greek word for being saved, delivered, restored, healed, to be made whole. This night consisted of prayer, poems, singing and preaching. All for the Glory to God.
Everything Billy did after knowing Jesus was to pursue Christ in the best way he could. That included being a devoted and studious reader of scripture.
There will not be a day that we will not miss Billy. He left a mark on all of us.
As he would say, “Heaven is my home.”
His favorite bible verse was 1 Corinthians 9:16; “woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!”
We will celebrate Billy’s life on Wednesday, March 29th at Zion Union Church.”
