
Born in Worcester on August 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Carl and Frances Carlson formerly of Shrewsbury, MA.
After graduating from Shrewsbury High School, Carl entered a training program for Friendly Ice Cream. He then went on to work as a manager for Friendly’s, Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken until his retirement due to illness.
Carl loved sports of all kinds, but he was an avid fan of all the Boston teams.
In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his son, David Carlson, who died on July 10, 1996.
He survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Alberta Carlson of Hyannis; his three daughters Carla Provost and her husband, Tom, Nina Armenti and her husband, Ralph, Lisa Perkins and her husband, Glenn; his three grandchildren, Logan, Eric and Violet; as well as his two sisters, Karen and Lorna.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville.
